Lemon essential oil has a constituent called limonene which can help cut through grease and dirt. You can create larger quantities and use the ratio of 3-5 drops per tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda (baking soda).

I prefer to make mine fresh each time as lemon essential oil has high volatility and will lose its potency if left too long.
